When shoppers enter a Visa or MasterCard card number on your Web site, they are prompted to enter the password they have established with their issuing bank. With Authenticated Payments, the liability for the “I didn’t do it” chargebacks shifts from you, the Internet merchant, to the cardholder’s issuing bank! A merchant can choose to access the solution in two different ways. The first option is a Thin Client, which is integrated into your e-commerce site. The second option is EasyConnect, which communicates with the authentication service via https.
