The Opportunity

We are bringing our digital growth function fully in-house after years of outsourcing and we are hiring a Head of Growth to lead the initiative by being hands on. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role that reports directly to the President. You will be the primary driver of organic growth tied to the company website www.bams.com, using cutting-edge tools for owning new content creation, SEO optimization and digital presence from end to end.

You will work alongside one in-house developer and will have the freedom to build your own systems, workflows and tooling with BAMS investing in you through company resources. There is no committee, no approval chain and no agency in the way. What You Will Own

SEO & Organic Growth

  • Own bams.com’s organic search strategy end to end including keyword strategy implementation, on-page optimizations, technical SEO and link authority building
  • Track and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic and lead quality using SEMrush, Ahrefs and GA4
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the payments and merchant services space
  • Collaborate with the in-house developer on technical SEO improvements including site speed, schema markup and crawlability
  • Exploration of new cutting-edge tools to help with digital growth

Content Strategy & Production

  • Own the content calendar plan, produce, publish and optimize all content on bams.com independently
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Surfer SEO, or similar) to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content at scale
  • Use AI tools or external vendors to orchestrate publishing blog posts, landing pages, case studies, guides and comparison pages that rank and convert
  • Ensure all content reflects BAMS’s voice: outcome-first, human-first, practical and free of jargon
  • Manage and publish all content in WordPress using Yoast SEO or equivalent

Conversion & Performance

  • Own the bams.com lead funnel — from organic traffic through to inquiry and demo request
  • Identify and act on conversion rate optimization (CRO) opportunities across landing pages and key entry points
  • Build and maintain GA4 dashboards that give the President a clear, real-time view of traffic, rankings and conversion performance
  • Run structured growth experiments and report results with clear recommendations

Social Media & Distribution

  • Manage BAMS’s LinkedIn presence as the primary B2B social channel by publishing created content that builds brand credibility with SMB owners and finance decision-makers
  • Repurpose and distribute content across relevant channels to maximize reach without duplicating effort
  • Work alongside our contracted PR company to identify partnerships, guest post and earned media opportunities that build domain authority

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, payment services, internet services, or financial services
  • Demonstrable track record of growing organic search traffic and improving keyword rankings
  • Expert-level proficiency in WordPress allowing you to publish and configure the system independently without developer assistance
  • Strong SEO fundamentals: keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO and content strategy
  • Active, fluent user of AI content and research tools in your current role or personal life
  • Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console and at least one SEO platform (SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz)
  • Exceptional writing skills which allow you to produce content that is clear, accurate and built to rank
  • Self-directed operator: you build your own systems, manage your own calendar and own your outcomes

Strong Positive Signals

  • Experience at a B2B company selling services at or above $50/month with multi-month sales cycles
  • Background at a performance-oriented agency, SaaS company or eCommerce business where marketing ROI was measured and reported
  • Experience with conversion optimization through landing page testing, heatmaps and lead form optimizations
  • LinkedIn content strategy or thought leadership experience in a B2B context
  • Comfort reading and interpreting basic analytics and presenting findings to a founder or CEO

What Success Looks Like

In your first 30 days, you will help the President of BAMS audit bams.com’s current SEO standing, content library and analytics setup and present a prioritized 90-day growth plan.

At 90 days, you will have realized those target KPIs for increasing ROI through new traffic, consistent content publishing cadence of live posts, a clear keyword targeting strategy in execution and baseline dashboards reporting organic performance. Bonus is paid for exceeding expectations.

At 12 months and beyond, BAMS’s organic traffic and inbound lead volume will be meaningfully higher than when you joined and you will have built a content engine that compounds over time.  Bonus is paid for exceeding expectations.
